This blog post will highlight the new features, improvements, and bug fixes included in this release, version 7.3.4912. For a detailed list of all the changes, please check out the software release notes page.
What is New in PC Game Booster (Game Fire) v7.3:
Firstly, we have changed the name of our game booster app from “Game Fire” to “PC Game Booster.” This new name better reflects the core functionality and purpose of the software. While “Game Fire” was a strong brand, “PC Game Booster” clearly communicates that the software boosts your computer’s performance and reliability, leading to a smoother and more responsive gaming experience.
Please be assured that this is only a name change. Our game booster retains all the powerful features and functionality you loved in Game Fire. It remains the same trusted tool, now with a name that immediately informs new users about what to expect.
We have updated the Flat UI Framework that powers the user interface of our game booster to a new major version (v2.1.598.1). This latest version of the Flat UI includes several enhancements and bug fixes designed to improve the overall user experience.
We have enhanced the loading speed of apps and system components in the Game Mode configuration window, allowing for quicker customization and switching to Game Mode.
The new release has significantly improved the game retrieval speed by implementing a parallel loading mechanism that allows for the simultaneous fetching of game information from multiple game platforms and clients. This approach reduces the overall loading time of your games in My Games and the My Games desktop widget.
The new update features an enhanced Game Mode power plan optimized for desktops and laptops.
Bug fixes
The new update fixes an issue with the Libre Hardware Monitor library that our game booster uses to monitor hardware temperature and performance.
Known Issue: Please note that the low-level driver for Libre Hardware Monitor may be falsely flagged as malware by some anti-virus programs, including Windows Defender. This is a known false positive due to the driver’s advanced system access. It is completely safe. If you see such an alert, we recommend adding an exception for PC Game Booster in your anti-virus software. Our team is working with anti-virus vendors to address these false detections.
Furthermore, the new update addressed a critical issue in the software licensing system that was preventing PC Game Booster from saving the license information to the disk due to a permission error. As a workaround, the application will now write the license file to an alternative location.
Known Issue: Due to significant changes in the software licensing system and updates in the dependencies, PC Game Booster is now generating computer IDs that differ from those in previous versions. To resolve this issue, you must re-register your Pro or trial license.
